Patricia Rogers

My name is Patricia.  I’m 56 years old and I live in Redwood City.  I started making quilts 10 years ago.  My mother Myra Rogers taught me how, she made all kinds of different quilts.  I mostly use hexagon pattern, and it’s all by hand – cutting, putting it together.  I have also started a new style of embroidery and I use houses, trees, and barns in my patterns.  I usually work for about three hours at a time, whenever I can squeeze time in.  It takes a lot of work and little stitches to make it even.  I also like to draw and paint, and I’m trying to work on that a little more.
